Friday Night Lights

My children and I went to a high school football game tonight.

It was Homecoming.

We knew four girls on the Homecoming Court.

We're even related to one of them.

The young women were all beautiful (my camera would not zoom in far enough to get good photos).

But the catalyst to get us to the ballgame was my cousin, Casey.

She is in the marching band.

In fact, she is the senior drum major.

I am proud of her. 

The football team WON THEIR GAME!

First win in 38 games.

Needless to say, the crowd was excited!

It was a fun night.

And being there, under those Friday Night Lights, listening to the band and watching them march, and watching the football game brought back lots of memories.  I graduated from a different high school than Casey's high school.  But watching them tonight reminded me of when I was in the band - a long time ago...
