Anna's Senior Year of Dance

Tonight (Tuesday, July 30, 2013), we went here

to register Anna for her senior year of dance classes (and Theatre class).

She was happy to see friends.

She wanted to take so many classes that it was a challenge to get the schedule worked out.

But it's her senior year and I want her to get to take all she wants.

She was excited to discuss play production possibilities with Mr. Cobb.

After we registered, we went here

to have a mother / daughter dinner out.

And as I watched my almost 17 year old daughter sitting across from me

and as we were talking about her dance classes, all I could see was my little almost 3 year daughter as we registered her for her first year of dance way back in 1999.

A Boy, A Man, and A Project

For a boy without a dad,

the 4 days Luke spent with Joe while building the deck on our pool,

were much more than just learning how to build.

It was also Luke learning how to be a man.

The tools used by Joe to teach Luke how to build a deck were saws, a nail gun, and a level.

The tools used by God to help build Luke's character were Joe's patience, care, teaching, and projecting to Luke that his help was wanted, needed, and most of all, valued.

Thank you, Joe, for your hard work on the deck.

We love it.

But thank you so much more for your time with my boy.
