July 19 - 22, 2013
We bought season tickets to Busch Gardens last time so we used them to have another 3 day mini-vacation this past weekend. My brother's family (Jamie, Sally, Jay, Sarah, and Kaylee) and our friends from a town where we once lived (Sam and daughter Savannah) joined us for 2 of the days.
And just like last time, we had a great time - despite the heat!
Jamie, Sally, Sarah, and Kaylee wanted to go to Water Country USA on Saturday but Jay wanted to be with Luke. So for Saturday, Jay was with us at Busch Gardens.
We were all at Busch Gardens for Sunday.

Sam and Savannah had to leave on Sunday afternoon and they left just in time.
The rain started right after they left.
Kaylee was praying during the storm. It really was that bad!
When there was a lull in the rain, we made a break for it and went back to the hotel to swim.
"Parting is such sweet sorrow."
We, just the Shelton clan, went back to Busch Gardens for a half day on Monday morning before heading out of town.

Hahaha! I see ol' Nessie is still there! I haven't been there since the'70s. I'd love to take Melody there some time. I also recognized the Festhaus and 'Der Wildcatz', or whatever they call the swings now. Thanks for thinking of me! Love the pics!
