Best Sound of Summer

I absolutely love going to sleep 

while hearing these three 

talking and laughing together 

in the living room! 

THAT

is the best 

sound of summer!

Classic Fun

The nieces, nephew, and cousins went home yesterday. 

It was fun to have a house full of kids again! 

Even though I was at my mom's nursing home all day Thursday 

and I missed a lot of the action at my house, 

it made me smile to come home that day 

and see that they had fun playing chess and checkers 

along with the fun they had on their phones and playing video games!

This memory from 3 years ago popped up 

in my facebook feed this morning.

I didn't need to be reminded today is my dad's birthday.

It is the 2nd one we've crossed without him 

and we have plans with my mom today to

remember him on his birthday.

But it was so sweet to see photos of us.

One of when I was a little girl

and the other was the last time 

I took him to one of his favorite places to be.

A long running camp meeting that he had been attending

since he was a very young preacher man.

He would be 77 today.

I was so blessed to be his daughter.

I miss him. 

Transcripts

Just finished the last additions to 

Wesley's high school transcript.

Cannot believe that I have now officially 

graduated 2 of my babies from high school

and 1 of them is also a college graduate.

Weren't they just born?

Yes

25 years ago today...

...I said yes.

It was a very good day!

I miss my daddy. 

I miss my children's daddy.

But I choose to remember the good times

and be thankful for God's faithfulness.

today so we celebrated a little early!
